JFIF to JPG converter

Turn .jfif files into .jpg files every app accepts, with zero quality loss: a JFIF already is a JPEG, so the image data is kept exactly as it is.

Drop JFIF images

Batch friendly. Each image is checked against the original, so you get the smallest file that still looks the same. Nothing is uploaded.

Mode

Why most JFIF converters lose quality

Many converters decode the JFIF and save a brand-new JPEG, which compresses it a second time and adds artefacts. That’s unnecessary: JFIF is the standard container for JPEG images, so the data inside is already a JPEG. In Lossless mode this tool keeps that data untouched and only gives the file a .jpg name.

Want the file smaller too? Switch to Smart mode and it will re-encode only if the result stays visually identical.

Questions

What is a JFIF file?

A JFIF file is a JPEG. "JFIF" is the name of the container most JPEGs use, and some systems save JPEGs with the .jfif extension, which many apps and upload forms don’t recognise.

Does converting JFIF to JPG lose quality?

Not here. Because a JFIF already is a JPEG, this tool keeps the image data exactly as it is and gives it a .jpg name. Nothing is re-compressed.

Can I convert many files at once?

Yes. Drop them all and download a ZIP.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser.
