Twitch badge resizer

One image in, all three Twitch subscriber badge sizes out: 18×18, 36×36 and 72×72 PNG, each under 25 KB, transparent edges kept clean.

Drop a GIF, PNG, APNG, JPEG or WebP

Output: 18×18, under 25 KB · 36×36, under 25 KB · 72×72, under 25 KB. Animated or still. Runs on your device; nothing is uploaded.

GIF can’t store soft edges; blending them into your chat background makes outlines smooth there.

Making badges readable at 18 pixels

At 18×18 a badge is mostly a silhouette. The resizer scales each size separately with a sharp Lanczos filter, in premultiplied alpha so edges against the transparent background don’t pick up a dark ring. Bold shapes, two or three colours and a thick outline survive best; text almost never does.

Making emotes too? Use the Twitch emote resizer for 28, 56 and 112 px.

Questions

What size are Twitch subscriber badges?

Three PNG files: 18×18, 36×36 and 72×72 pixels, each no larger than 25 KB, with a transparent background.

Can Twitch sub badges be animated?

No. Badges must be PNG. If you drop a GIF, the first frame is used.

My 72×72 badge is over 25 KB. What now?

The resizer keeps full colour when it fits and only reduces colours when it must, picking the closest-looking file under 25 KB.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser.
