Batch friendly. Each image is checked against the original, so you get the smallest file that still looks the same. Nothing is uploaded.
What 50 KB is usually for
Photos on online application and registration forms
Profile pictures on sites with strict upload limits
How it gets under 50 KB
JPEG quality is searched from high to low until the file fits, so you get the highest quality under the limit, not a guess. If the picture is so large that even the lowest quality is too big, it is scaled down just enough, with a sharp filter. Transparent areas become white, since JPG has no transparency and forms expect a white background.
Drop your JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF image. The size is already set to 50 KB; you get a JPG under that size, at the highest quality that fits.
Will the image be resized?
Only if it has to be. The tool first lowers JPEG quality step by step; if even the lowest quality is over 50 KB, it scales the image down just enough to fit.
Is 50 KB the same as 50000 bytes?
Here, yes, and the output stays under 50000 bytes. That’s the stricter reading, so it also passes forms that count 1 KB as 1,024 bytes.
Does it need exact pixel dimensions too?
Many forms also ask for a size in pixels or centimetres. Check the form’s instructions; resize first if needed, then compress here.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser, which matters for ID documents and signatures.
